Contactors

A contactor is an electromechanical appliance that closes or opens an electrical circuit with the closing of another circuit. İt is divided into ac and dc.

AC and DC Contactor Difference

The obvious difference is coil turns. The coil turns of the AC contactor are small and connect to AC.

The AC contactor has a big starting current, its maximum operating frequency is about 600 times per hour, while that of the DC contactor can be twice as much as AC per hour.
